Phoenix Shopping at Fantastic Indoor Swapmart

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

Phoenix residents may know the eclectic, zany location that is the Indoor Swapmart (now the Fantastic Indoor Swapmart) They’re celebrating their 20th year in the Valley of the Sun and have created a Squidoo lens to showcase some of the amazing selection of hundreds of shops they have in their 3 acre indoor space.

Quality definitely varies, but there are quite a few gems there, and more vendors are finding out about the huge traffic they get into their place only three days a week (friday, saturday and sunday).

Check out their Fantastic lens. They should be adding more as time goes on, and be sure to check out their website – Fantastic Indoor Swapmart with Phoenix Shopping, Phoenix Foods and Phoenix Events. They’ll be celebrating their 20 year anniversary the weekend of July 31 and August 1.

Something New – The Star Spangled Banner

Sunday, June 13th, 2010

The red, white and blue U.S. Flag, in one form or another, has been around since the Flag Act of 1777. In 1814, it took on another form when the Americans repelled the British from the port of Baltimore through the resistance of Fort McHenry. Francis Scott Key’s immortal poem, and eventual song, became a reminder of American resilience and our national anthem.

Learn more about the Star Spangled Banner itself, the 15 starred and striped flag that stubbornly flew over Fort McHenry back in the War of 1812.

From the Table O’ Contents:
1. The British are Coming! (Again)
2. O’er the Land of the Free…
3. …And the Home of the Brave
4. More About Fort McHenry and The Star Spangled Banner
5. The Star Spangled Banner – Legacy

Something New – AZ Divorce Cases

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

I do some work for Agreement House, a great divorce and business mediation company in Arizona and if you have to get a divorce, these are the people you want to see. Their divorce process has three parts and makes divorce relatively inexpensive and easy.

I used my title-less method to insert elements between blocks of text, more or less seamlessly.

More Helpful Squidoo Lenses, and more on my CC experiment

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

Being able to link lenses effectively from your links, link to your main content pages and to affiliate sites is critical, and Squidoo gives you great tools to make that easy and effectively channel traffic where you want it to go. Here are a few of my favorite methods – Linking Squidoo Lenses

More article submission philosophy and application, with some sites thrown in for good measure. I think my other article lens is better for sites that you will actually use. – Article Traffic.

Bonus: Here is the first lens promoting people that I’ve referred to Constant Content. I’m still serious. If you sign up using my referral link, and produce content, I will promote you. Win/Win. – Terisa Green – Constant Content Author

LaunchTags is Gone

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

Alas, the developing coolness that was LaunchTags is gone.

LaunchTags was a great little site where you could make minipages and monetize them. They were great for promoting a bunch of related Squidoo lenses, where you could provide some content and then list related lenses at the bottom.

It was simple to use, looked clean and was another high quality promotional tool, as well as having it’s own good little community.

If you guys are out there, your site was rising in ranking, people were using it. Give it another chance!

On the plus side, the domain is available, so considering all of the sites that are pointing to it (Google: launchtags), someone might be able to get a nice boost to whatever they put there (ideally, another minipage site).

Squidoo Help Lenses

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

It’s been a while since my last post, so It’s best if I be useful!

I’ll start by posting my series of helpful lenses, those that help you improve your lenses on Squidoo, and additional lenses that give you information about certain modules and functions on Squidoo.

Today’s featured lenses:

My Favorite Squidoo Backlink Sites – These are the sites I use to develop backlinks to my Squidoo lenses, including Squidoo directories and of course, Squidtop itself.

How to Submit Articles for Backlinks and Traffic – Alternate content on alternate content rocks, and finding good article sites to post your content to can give you incredible range, more traffic and quality backlinks. Check out my list and my philosophy behind article traffic.

Also: Constant Content Guide – I created a guide to help users get started with Constant Content. It isn’t directly related to Squidoo but if you have original content including photos and drawings, then you can use them there and make some money, or modify your original text content on Squidoo to be sold as blog posts or whatever. CC is just getting started, and not everyone is aware of it, so I promote it at every opportunity. It’s a great original content machine that can earn you real money.

Soon: I’ll post my promotion lenses for CC referrals. That’s right! If you sign up to use Constant Content using my referral link, I’ll promote your content. We both win!

Hooray – Squidtop is back!

My Favorite Squidoo Posting Sites

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

It wasn’t enough to create a list of sites that are excellent lens submissions sites, but with the rash of sites going down, I created a lens that shows my favorite sites, and which are up and running as opposed to those that are down for maintenance or worse.

I also talk about my favorite article and press release sites, and other sites that are Squidoo-friendly for putting the word out and getting backlinks.

Check out My Favorite Squidoo Backlink Sites.

Other Squidoo Submission Sites – Experimentations

Monday, June 29th, 2009

In my quest to find more and better places to submit Squidoo lenses to, I’m in the process of playing with StumpediaLaunchTagsJumpTags and I am just getting into the complexity that is tagfoot.

Stumpedia organizes your links and lets people vote them up or down, and updates the home page with recent changes.

LaunchTags allows you to create mini-pages and you can add your adsense to the pages, of which you split it evenly wth LaunchTags

Jumptags efficiently organizes bookmarks and makes them public to everyone.

Tagfoot allows you to submit bookmarks and even wishlists.  Tagfoot also allows you to incorporate adsense and they developed this video to combine tagfoot, Twitter and Adsense and get some cash for your clicks.
